when i began editing the other day, my teacher looked over it first and he believed that the rapid cutting at the end wasn't needed and was repeating footage from the sequences at the beginning so didn't work. i explained that the client liked that part of the video and wanted to keep it. what i did was i took the rapid cutting off at the end and made a seperate video. i named it the junction promo trailer. it gave all the information out but quicker than the actual promo video.
i put the logos at the end and in between sequences i put information written in the same font as the junction logo on blank screen. the transitions between sequences worked with the music that i put over them. the songs were taken from the footage taken at the fiver. there were only afew that were in good recorded quality. other songs recorded sounded abit tinny and the sound levels weren't all the same. the songs i chose were the ones that worked best. for the 'how to apply' footage, i felt that it didn't show the information clearly enough. i went back and decided to write the information up between certain shots. before editing the sequence showed you how to apply but didn't tell you how. the information wasn't clear enough. after going back and writing it up i showed some people in the class and they all said that it was better. i then exported the video and the length of the video was 1.45minutes. this length is directly between the lengthssimon had said was okay. i'm happy with the editing i got done today. the promo looks reallt professional now.
