the next day we started editing to the sotryboard. me and alex came up with a script and we took a camera to a quiet room and recorded alex saying the lines. the lines were very simple but we didn't know the best way to approach it. we thought that if we said each line and then left a pause, we could cut them to the drum beat. or of course we could just say it and make each one a little quicker each time, this was what we intended for the final video, a rapid promo giving detailed information quickly. we decided to do it both ways. alex did it afew times and kept on missing out a line, there were a lot so it wasn't a big deal. we just did it again until he got it right, which he did. we took it back to hayden who was editing and we uploaded it. we then put it on the timeline and started putting footage over each of the narrations to symbolise what it was trying to provoke. some things we didn't have footage for. for example, we didn't have footage for 'how to apply', so we left that balnk for now.
after we cut to the sequence and put the narration in the final video length was only just over a minute. it wasn't long enough. we had to think of something that would make our video longer. simon bates told us that the video length had to be a certain length but he also said that he likes them shorter prefibly. so we thought that 2minutes was suitable enough. that's what we aimed for. at the end of the day we had got somewhere, but we only had a day left to finish it for the rough cut deadline. the rough cut would then be taken to bourneworth and be criticised by post-graduates with editing skill. they would tell us what to improve on and such.
