promotional video - jeff hardy goodbye

this was a promotional video made for when jeff hardy left smackdown. it features a few similarities with the promo video we made for the junction. the beginning of the promo video is a little slow and builds up around 45seconds into it. after that the cutting gets more rapid and the cuts go with the music. this is a lot like our promo video. the rapid cutting and flare effect used on the action scenes in the smackdown promo are almost identical to our promo video.

theres a light effect on the beginning part of the jeff hardy video which is similar to an effect we had on our rough cut but eventually got rid of because of the feedback we got at bourneworth. the length of the promo video is similar to ours aswell. thats something that usually stays the same, promo video lengths are usually between 3-4minutes. especially with music video promos. the promo video for smackdown is about 1minute 40seconds. i think our promo is similar to this. the song that we used in our promo video is rock and the music for the jeff hardy goodbye promo follows the same genre, though its a song that features a slow beginning that fits the feeling of saying goodbye to someone.

overall there aren't a lot of similarities between the two but then again they're promoting 2 completely different things. one is for a arts venue and one is promoting wrestling. its interesting to point out similarities between 2 completely different genres of promo video though. even though they arent the same type of video, they still have things about them that you can compare and you can point out similarities as well as differences.
