the fiver night
once the night had started it was really hectic. communication had to be perfect so right before the first band went on stage, i held a meeting backstage with everyone. we all discussed what should be filmed and who should do it. i suggested that while the bands on stage we film the band, everyone doing a different angle. then once the band are coming off, me and mike go and interview them and they can explain their experience. we thought that this was a good system and that's pretty much what we stuck to as well. the first band went on stage, i stood at the back and held the camera high to get a shot of the stage as a whole. a good establishing shot. everyone else were in various places. on stage in the corner, backstage, to the side, in the pit. then when the band went off i went and interviewed them, it was so much fun and everyone treated us like professionals. this was the routine of the night, before i had to go at 9.00. just before i left i handed my equipment to mike and told him what else we needed to film and get footage for.
